The JH Scholars' Bowl traveled to Herington on March 25 to compete.
Schools attending were: Rural Vista, Herington, Goessel, Peabody-Burns, Centre, and Chapman.
Both 8th and 7th grade teams participated.
Results:
8th Vs 7th
L 40-80 Chapman L 5-60
W 50-40 Centre W 30-20
W 60-10 Goessel W 30-10
W 60-45 Herington W 50-40
W 70-30 Peabody-Burns Bye
8th grade record was 4 Wins - 1 Lose 2nd place in round robin
7th grade record was 3 Wins - 1 Lose 2nd place in round robin
We then participated in a mini- tournament.
8th grade competed with Centre - Win 70-20
then went on to match up again with Chapman - Rural Vista came out on top with the Win 40-30 - 1st Place
7th grade competed against Goessel - but this time Goessel had the win 5-10
we then met up with Herington and defeated them 30-10 - ending up with 3rd place.
Overall, it was a great day for our Scholars' Bowl team. I;m very proud of all the students who participated in this meet.
Our next meet will be at Canton-Galva on April 2. This will be our League Meet - and our final meet of the year. - Vernetta Hammersmith

Just a reminder there is NO SCHOOL for Kindergarten and Pre-K only on THURSDAY for Early Childhood Screenings. No school for everyone on Friday!

The Rural Vista Junior High Quiz Bowl teams traveled to Wakefield on Monday, February 12. This was the first meet of the season. We played 5 rounds. The 8th grade took 2nd place and the 7th grade team came in third, each team had a 3-2 record.

Studio 77 will be hosting a mini dance clinic for all students in PreK-5th grade from Hope, White City, and Herington. The performance will be during halftime of the RV Heat boys game on Feb. 16th in Hope. Forms and payment are due Friday to the Hope Schools office or Sunday at the first practice. Junior High girls basketball travels to Solomon today for the semi final(1:00pm) and final rounds(3:00pm) of the Wheat State League Basketball Tournament. If you can't make the trip to cheer them on, you can watch it live on Solomons YouTube Channel! Go Heat!

Junior High Quiz Bowl scheduled for April 1st, has been moved to April 2nd!

To try and beat the incoming weather, Junior High will only play two quarters of both girls and boys "b" team tonight. We will have a rolling schedule starting at 4pm of "b" girls, "b" boys, "a" girls, then "a" boys.

Untreated roads are slicker than snot, so 2 hour delay this morning for Rural Vista Schools. No preschool. No breakfast served.

Due to poor or impassable road conditions, USD 481 - Rural Vista will be closed today, Jan 19. Stay tuned for decisions on the basketball games later today.
