The grandparents are coming!
On Friday, September 4th, 2026, PAWS held an event for the students' grandparents to come in and play games, have some snacks and have fun. Our White City PAWs organization sponsored the event. For those kids whose grandparents couldn’t make it, Stuco filled in and played the role so that all students could participate.
Many Grandparents came out for the fun event. Grandparents and grandkids alike both enjoyed cookies and other snacks. This year, Grandparent’s Day was open for all students in the 1st through 5th grades.
In the morning, grandparents lined up at the door and welcomed students. Students got the special “high five” to kick off the great day. It was the kind of reception normally reserved for athletes, but, this time, all students got the special treatment.
The event lasted from 8 am to 9:15 am, which gave kids time to spend time with their grandparents and make lasting memories. Grandparents were able to visit the classrooms. They also hung out in the lunch room and played games.
Everyone had a great time. We want to thank PAWS for hosting this event.
