hinkle

Today we had the opportunity to talk with our new Ag teacher, Madison Hinkle. Mrs. Hinkle told us all about her, so let's listen in!

We first asked about her educational background. Mrs. Hinkle has a Bachelors and Masters degree from Kansas State University in Animal Science. This is her first year teaching ever! Mrs. Hinkle is from Ellsworth, Kansas. Ellsworth is about one hour and fifty six minutes from White City. What a drive!

At the beginning of the year, Mrs. Hinkle took over the FFA Advisor role.  We asked Mrs. Hinkle how the beginning of the year was going so far, she responded, “The beginning of this school year has gone well. I have really enjoyed getting to know all the students.” We were interested in why she wanted to teach here in White City. She said, “My Husband is from White City and we are wanting to stay in the area close to family.”

Mrs. Hinkle also informed us that she has other family members in education! Including her husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. Very cool!  We asked what interested her about teaching. She responded, “I have always enjoyed animal science and agriculture and want to spread that passion to the younger generations so hopefully they too also find something that they enjoy doing. Even if it's not in Agriculture or Animal Science, I want to be able to help them find something that they really enjoy doing.” When Mrs. Hinkle has free time, she enjoys running and reading.

Welcome to our new Ag teacher!  Thanks to Mrs. Hinkle for giving us her time!
