This year, Mr. Charles Dyler has remained on as one of our school’s paras.  We wanted to know more about this valuable school professional.

We asked him how long he’s been here for. He said, “This is my fourth year. I've lived in Kansas for sixteen years.” We also asked about his educational background. He replied, “I went to college in Southern California. I ended up getting certified as a Harley Davidson technician once I moved here in 2009.”

We asked why he chose to be a para. He said that he did it to be closer to the community and help kids be better citizens. We asked about what he did before he was para and he said that he founded his own insurance agency with Farmers Insurance.

We asked about his life in school when he was younger.  His schooling was fun and varied.  He replied, “I kind of enjoyed school, however, we moved around quite a bit. I actually went to four different high schools alone.”

We asked him about the easiest and hardest parts of his job. He said, “Easiest part of my job is . . . relationships I am cultivating with our next generations of adults.”  However, Mr. Charlie thinks that our young people are still in the process of becoming those adult members of society.

We asked what the most rewarding part of his job is. He says, "The most rewarding part of all this is seeing students later on, after graduation, doing well in life and being good examples to others.”

We had him tell us about his thoughts on education. He replied “Education should be something that ignites someone's interest in knowledge and how to make this world better wherever they are.” We also asked what he did for fun and he said that he loves motorcycles and motorsports activities.
