bookfair

The Book Fair is an event that happens in the library - usually once or twice a year. It's an opportunity for students to pick up some fun books.

This year, the Book Fair spanned from October 27th to Halloween day. The theme of this year’s book fair was a Halloween theme, based somewhat on the movie Hocus Pocus.  The Book Fair had a variety of books this year. The books spanned from picture books to books more appropriate for teenage readers.  Some of the books that were included were: Pete the Cat for the younger kids, Bad Guys and books related to sports.

The Book Fair also sells a variety of trinkets and fidgets consisting of pens, squishies, and “Pop Its,”.  Funny enough, one of the more popular items was a “chocolate keyboard.”  It wasn’t real chocolate, but it looked like it!

Our current librarian Mrs Jane said that she really enjoyed this year’s Book Fair.  When we asked her, she said “My favorite part of the book fair was getting to meet the parents and seeing the interactions between them and their parents.”  She also wanted to give a very special thanks to all of the people who had helped make this possible

Special thanks to- Amanda Harmison, Ashley Gearheart, Janon Johnson and Lacee Autry.

Mrs. Jane also wanted to give a very special thanks to the past librarians and Principals, Including Megan Carson, Kim Sanford, Hannah Brown, Nancy Morgan, along with Mrs Griffiths and Mr Hensley.

Finally, Mrs. Jane tell us, “That the book fair would not have been possible without them, and I am very grateful”.
