We finally got the chance to talk with Mr. Isaac Lopez about how his school year went last year, and if he's excited for this coming school year. He said that his school year is going “good” so far. Mr. Lopez is originally from Cimmaron, Kansas. Cimmaron is about 4 hours from White City. We asked Mr. Lopez, “Why did you want to teach in white in White City?” He answered, “ Because I grew up in a small town”.
When we asked Mr. Lopez about his school life as a youth, he said he never considered going to college because he didn’t have a good time in school. We asked, "Do you have any family in education?" He said his mom and wife are also in education. Then we asked, "Do you do anything when you are not teaching ?” Mr. Lopez said, “Coach Jr. high football and Jr. high boys basketball.” About his college education, Mr. Lopez replied that he went to college for secondary education.
We asked, “What do you do in your free time?” Mr. Lopez replied, “Take care of my kid and play video games.” Finally, we asked, ”Do you have any background in education?” He said, "Last year was his first year teaching.” We thank Mr. Lopez for answering our questions.
