We recently talked to Crystal Carson, one of our White City substitute teachers.  Ms. Carson has a special passion for AG kids.  She has been involved with 4H for most of her life.  Even as a senior in High School, she enjoyed teaching and helping Girl Scouts.

She first taught professionally in 2005, when she was a teacher’s aid for 5th graders in Chapman, KS.  She first subbed in White City in 2008.  This was a long-term position for a teacher with a family illness.  Until 2014, Ms. Carson was a substitute for all sorts of classes in White City.  From 2014 to 2018, she was an AG teacher for both Hope and White City.

We asked her about why she enjoys teaching.  “I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn,” Ms. Carson said.  She thinks the students are a lot of fun.  “It’s truly been a joy,” she said.  Her special thanks goes to Ms. O for the opportunity this year to step in.  Thank you to Ms. Crystal Carson for sitting down with us.
