How long have you been in White City?- Ms. Ashley has lived in White City off and on from Kindergarten to her senior year. For most of her life she has been bouncing back and forth between Alabama and Kansas. She came back to White City her Senior year of high school, and she has not left since.

Why did you become a para for White City Schools? -  Ms. Ashley decided to become a para at White City because her younger sister named Faith attended here. Faith was in the special needs program and always needed a little extra care and understanding in a school system which influenced Ms. Ashley to take a job at the school. She was a Para for White City in two thousand nineteen, and then she returned back in two thousand and twenty three. Ms. Ashley has always enjoyed working with children, and that's what drove her to come back. 

What were you most excited about at the start of the 2nd semester this school year? - To see and speak with all of the kids that she gets to see and work with on a  daily basis, and to listen to all the adventures over the long break and to watch the kids learn more.

What's your favorite part of being a Para? Her favorite part of being a para is the interactions with the kids.

What do you like about the school? - Everyone in the school is close and everyone knows everyone like family.

What do you like to do outside of school? - She likes to go on adventures with her children. She actually has six children, who vary in ages from 1 ½ to 16 years old. When she is not doing things with her children, Ms. Ashley goes to college full time, where she is earning her Associates in Health Science.  Once she gets that she would like to continue her education further into med school.
