LitFair

On Friday, January 26th, Mrs. Hinkle’s Third Grade class held their annual Literacy Fair. The Literacy Fair is where students pick their favorite book or book, and they do a project on the book. They sum up the book and have it on a trifold board for people to see. Some students have displays or objects on the table by their board.

In first place, there was a tie between Riggin Parker and Heidi Barrett. Riggin Parker said, “It felt great to win, and I have tons of ribbons, but I can add another one!”  Heidi Barrett chose to do a book about the Titanic.  She said, “It felt good to win, and my favorite part of the book was when the Titanic was sinking, and they were trying to escape.”

In second place, there was another tie.  This one was between Kreyton Anderson and Hank Morgan.  Kreyton did a book about a coach potato.  He said, “It felt good to win, and my favorite part about the book was when the couch potato finally went outside.” Hank Morgan said, “It felt good to win, and I worked really hard on it.” In third place was Rowdy Fiest. Rowdy said “My favorite part of the literacy fair was putting together my presentation.”

The Literacy Fair went well this year, and the community is looking forward to it next year.  Congratulations to everyone who participated!
