On December 7, 8, and 9, 2023, a boy’s basketball tournament was hosted in Herington, KS. This tournament was different from others, because there was no championship game at the end. In fact, most tournaments will have a championship game to decide the best team. Rural Vista played three other teams: Clifton Clyde on the first night, Chase County on the second, and Centre on the third. On the first night against Clifton Clyde, there was a full JV game, as well as a full Varsity game. Unfortunately for RV fans, Clifton Clyde came out on top in both games. On the second night, there was also a full JV game, and a full Varsity game. While both of these games were closer, again, unfortunately, Chase County still won both. On the third night, playing against Centre, Rural Vista took the win in both JV and Varsity. Great playing! On JV, against Centre, there was only a half game, due to a lack of players for Centre. Although there was no declared winner, judged on overall results, it was clear that Clifton Clyde was the best team in the tournament. Congratulations to Clifton Clyde.
