Hope Student Body

After almost a decade of slowly decreasing numbers, Hope is back on the rise in the 2023-2024 school year. The last time Hope Schools saw an increase in student numbers from the previous year was the 2015-2016 school year. Hope ended the 2022-2023 school year with 84 kids enrolled, as it currently stands, Hope is at 106 students.

I think there are a lot of factors that have lead to this increase, says Hope Principal Adam Sobba. Some of those include the addition of the After School Program that is funded by the Hope Community/Education Endowment. This gives parents the opportunity for FREE childcare after school. The program is run by Mrs. Cook and is staffed by teachers and staff of Hope school. Another great thing is the opening of the Little Lion's Learning Center. Even though this is technically not a part of the school, it has definitely  brought some kids back to our school and district with its presence. We have also done a great job of creating opportunities for our students. We are so happy to bring back our music and woods programs this year, along with keeping all our other student organizations like FBLA, National Honor Society, and FFA. I think the final thing we have going for us is our amazing teachers and support staff. When you have a group of people who really care about the kids and their success it creates a welcoming environment and  people want to be apart of that!

"I definitely think that we have a really good thing going here at Hope and am looking forward to seeing those numbers continue to increase." - Mr. Sobba
