Tanna

Mrs. Tanna Kasten is our Title One/Kindergarten teacher. Owing to recent staff changes, she recently moved over to temporarily teach Kindergarten. She has been teaching for 20 years. One challenge she has had to face this year is meeting the needs of every student in her class. Every student learns in their own varied way. Multi-tasking is difficult for her because she works simultaneously in two different classes. Mrs. K says, “I love all my staff.  We're one big family here at White City Schools.” Her favorite part of teaching is getting to know students. Similar to Mrs. Hinkle, our third grade teacher, Mrs. K loves seeing the lightbulb turn on, when her student finally understands something she’s been struggling with. Mrs. K has been all around.  She has taught at Marysville, Gardner, Kansas City, Clay Center, Herington, and, of course, her favorite, White City. She has taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade, P.E, and Title One. In her free time, she likes to play softball, hang out with friends, and spend time with family. On a completely unrelated matter, Mrs. K loves monkeys.
