Announcements for the Week
Operation Christmas Child
The FCA and FCCLA chapters are joining together to collect items for the Operation Christmas Child organization. We are collecting new items to send away to children that don't get presents at Christmas like we do. When we collect all of the itmes, we will pack them up in wrapped shoeboxes and they will be sent away to different countries. We are asking that you help us out and donate some items to give these children a very Merry Christmas. Some items that you can include are toys, school supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hard candy, and clothing(items which would fit in a shoebox). Some items that we are asking you to not send are chocolate, liquids, medications, breakable items, and aerosol cans. We will be collecting items until November 18th. There will be a donation box in the library where you can drop off anything you would like to donate. We appreciate your help and hope that you'll help us make a difference in these children's lives. If you would like more information about our project, you can visit their website at www.samaritanspurse.org

Items given away in the past include: small jars of peanut butter, a sleeve of crackers, beans and franks (easy to open can), cereal, fruit cups, raisins, pudding cups, juice boxes, and granola bars. The Student Council will award a prize to the class who brings the most pounds of food. There will be one winning class from elementary, junior high, and high school. Food will be collected until November 25.
